About
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and my M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Kyungpook National University (KNU), South Korea, and my B.Sc. (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC), Sri Lanka. I currently serve as a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (USJ).
My research focuses on artificial intelligence, computer vision, and advanced biomedical and industrial imaging. I work on areas such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), deep learning–based image analysis, 3D reconstruction, human–computer interaction, and AI-driven agricultural and healthcare applications.
I lead the Advanced Imaging and Artificial Intelligence (AIAI) Lab, where we explore interdisciplinary problems at the intersection of imaging systems and machine intelligence, aiming to translate cutting-edge research into impactful real-world solutions.
